18th annual Paws in the Park Petwalk

HYDE PARK - Come! Walk! Stay! Grab a leash and your best friend, it’s time for the Dutchess County SPCA Paws in the Park Petwalk & Canine Carnival. The 18th Annual Paws in the Park Petwalk is Saturday, September 29th from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Bowdoin Park in Poughkeepsie.

Paws in the Park Petwalk is a fun, festive, educational and informative event for the pet loving community. The Petwalk raises funds for the Dutchess County SPCA, while educating the public about the plight of homeless and abused animals.

At Petwalk, every dog is a winner. Your dog will win prizes just for trying our fun activities like Puppies of the Caribbean and Catcher’s Mutt. Dogs can have their paws read, get a brush out or nail trim, they can try agility equipment or test their doggy IQ.

Dogs can try their paw at the contest: Kanine Karaoke, Owner/dog Look-a-Like, Best Tail Wagger, Best Beggar, or Best Costume. Come and visit with the sponsors, meet some of our adoptable dogs, and enjoy the demonstrations.

This year we have a doggy square dance. Joe Daily from 92.1FM will be on site. The walk itself starts at 1:00 pm. There is a lot for the dogs and for all the people who love them.

Visit www.pawsintheparkpetwalk.com for more information and to register or call 845-454-5346 ext. 100. The 18th Annual Paws in the Park Petwalk is sponsored in part by ASPCA Grants, Pet Goods, and Macia Inspection & Testing Laboratories, Inc.
