Free Learn to Swim Clinic at Delano Hitch Pool

NEWBURGH - The City of Newburgh and the Newburgh Rowing Club have collaborated to provide a free water confidence and Learn to Swim Clinic at the Delano Hitch Pool in Newburgh. Coach Ed Kennedy, Programs Director of the Newburgh Rowing Club, and a Swim Coach / Instructor for over 35 years, will conduct the clinic every Wednesday during the summer, from 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm, starting July 16th. The clinic is open to any City of Newburgh youths age 5 - 17. He will be assisted by experienced rowers and coaches, who are certified lifeguards and/or experienced swimmers. The City of Newburgh is providing the pool, as well as the Pool Manager and their own lifeguards.

Requirements: (1) Must reside in City of Newburgh and show proof of residence (e.g. utility bill); (2) must signup at the Pool, with a parent or guardian signing the registration papers; (3) Parent or guardian must stay throughout the entire clinic, no dropoffs; (4) Must commit to coming to each of the clinics on time.
