WILKES-BARRE, PA - Competing in their second meet in as many days, the Mount Saint Mary College men’s and women’s swimming teams fell to King’s College on Saturday afternoon. The women lost by a score of 113-89, while the men fell 108-69.
On the women’s side, the 400 yard freestyle relay team composed of sophomore Meghan Seaman, senior Deirdre Kenny, senior Rachel Johnson and freshman Elizabeth Stern raced to a first place finish (4:19.06). Freshman Lauren Becerra was the lone individual winner, taking first in the 200 yard freestyle with a time of 2:09.82.
For the men, freshman Sam Watson, sophomore Ryan Murray, sophomore Jason Lorch and junior Conor Dowd combined for a win in the 400 yard medley relay. Watson was the sole winner on the men’s side, taking the 200 yard backstroke (2:16.69).
MSMC returns on November 17, as they host Sarah Lawrence College in their home opener at 1:00 p.m.
