Army Black Knights Begin Preseason Football Camp

The Army Black Knight’s football team opened its 2014 preseason camp on Monday, August 4 under first-year head coach Jeff Monken. Hudson Valley Press/CHUCK STEWART, JR.

WEST POINT – The Army football team opened its 2014 preseason camp on Monday, August 4.

First-year head coach Jeff Monken will lead the Black Knights in preparation for the 2014 season.

Army will utilize Howze Field for the bulk of its workout while also using Michie Stadium and if necessary because of weather, the Foley Center.

Three double-sessions are scheduled for camp.

Army will break preseason camp on August 16 with the first day of classes at West Point set for Monday, August 18.

One-hundred and fifty-seven players are currently listed on the Army roster, including 60 freshmen who completed Cadet Basic Training at an accelerated pace and will participate in camp.

Practices are free and open to the public.

Army will conclude camp on Saturday, August 16 with a scrimmage at Michie Stadium beginning at approximately 11:30 a.m.

The below schedule is subject to change.

Army will open the 2014 season Sept. 6 against Buffalo at Michie Stadium.

Single-game and season tickets are now on sale.

Wednesday, August 6: 2:30 p.m.

Thursday, August 7: 2:30 p.m.

Friday, August 8: 2:30 p.m.

Saturday, August 9: 9:15 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Monday: August 11: 9:15 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Tuesday, August 12: 2:30 p.m.

Wednesday, August 13: 9:15 a.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Friday, August 15: 2:30 p.m.

Saturday, August 16: 11:45 a.m., scrimmage,

Michie Stadium
