Members of the Class of 2017 begun their college journey when nearly 450 incoming Mount Saint Mary College freshman took part in the school’s summer orientation.

NEWBURGH - Nearly 450 incoming Mount Saint Mary College freshmen took the next big step in their academic careers at summer orientation.

The class of 2017 created their first semester schedules, learned more about academic and student activities, and began to forge lasting bonds with fellow freshmen.

"Your college experience truly begins with summer orientation," said Fr. Kevin E. Mackin, OFM, president of the college. "At the Mount, students gain great preparation for careers and make friends for life."

The Mount offers undergraduate academic programs in many fields, including nursing, pre-medical/pre-veterinary, business, education, media studies, English, mathematics, information technology, natural sciences, social sciences, and philosophy and religious studies.

Additionally, Mount Saint Mary College’s master’s degree opportunities include options in business, education and nursing. All three programs carry specialized accreditation.
