Home improvement loans now available

Orange County Legislator Mike Anagnostakis recently informed home owners that 0% loans are available for home repairs and for barrier removal for the physically disabled. These loans (up to a maximum of $20,000) are made available through the Orange County Office of Community Development, headed by new Director Richard Mayfield.

Eligible activities for these loans include: structural repairs, weatherization, barrier removal, general home improvements, and heating systems. Income limits apply; as an example, a family of four would need an income of less than $64,400.

Said Anagnostakis, "I think many of my constituents in this area would qualify and could use this help for home improvements in these still challenging fiscal times we all face."
