NEWBURGH - Partners and volunteers from the Greater Newburgh Partnership (GNP) kicked off this season’s Clean and Green efforts on Dubois and Chambers Street. After successfully cleaning large debris during the Community Clean Up with Safe Harbors of the Hudson, GNP and partners will be gathering to continue the efforts to keep city streets clean and safe
GNP’s Adopt-A-Block initiative seeks to assist surrounding community residents improve quality of life issues while keeping their streets clean and safe. The program centers around frequent clean ups and enhancing communication between City departments.
"This is our third year of working with residents and volunteers on Dubois Street. Street Rock Ministries is proud to partner with GNP and St. Luke’s Hospital to give back to our neighbors and make our street an example of Newburgh pride," stated Nelson Polanco, Street Rock Ministries.
"Chambers Street is not as depicted in the newspapers. Families and businesses are here and we take pride on our block. We are all involved and encourage others to join our efforts," stated Eileen Clifford, PathStone Corporation.
