Each member received the red dress pin, symbol of National Wear Red Day ~ American Heart Association Go Red for Women. For this celebration, the ladies of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated – Iota Alpha Omega Chapter prepared and donated healthy dishes and/or beverages. •Kale and Strawberry Salad
•Dry roasted nuts
•Tuna salad on whole wheat crackers
•Hummus with Pita chips and Skillet Apples
With our very own doctor in our midst, Dr. Regina Sexton-Smith, DO, presented "Heart Disease and Women of Color". She discussed the following "Go Red Facts" with the Chapter.
