NEW WINDSOR - In their continued strive to prepare for the season and give back to the community, the Newburgh Free Academy H.S. Crew Team and the Friends of Newburgh Crew, Inc. would like to announce their Second Annual Super Bowl of Caring scheduled for Saturday, Feb 1st 4-8pm at the New Windsor Marasco (Senior Citizen) Center located behind the Town Hall Complex on left.
The Town Hall address is 555 Union Ave in New Windsor. The event will be a Spaghetti Dinner with Raffles to benefit the team and a canned food drive to support the New Windsor Food Pantry. Requested donation for dinner is $5.00 with a non perishable item for pantry/$8.00 without. Raffle boxes are additional.
Colleen Schafer, a parent and New Windsor resident, shared how moving it was to help the team and the community at the same time. “Even more rewarding is the fact that various New Windsor eateries are donating items to the dinner. With the team, location, and donations, it really is a community event”.
