Orange County Chamber awards Boys & Girls Club



Brandon Mighty of Circleville participating in Boys & Girls Club’s Project Learn Program. The Wallkill Boys & Girls Club received the Orange County Chamber of Commerce award for Not-For-Profit of the Year at its annual awards recognition ceremony.

CIRCLEVILLE - The Town of Wallkill Boys and Girls Club was selected to receive the 2013 Not-For-Profit Enterprise of the Year Award from the Orange County Chamber of Commerce.

The annual award recognizes a non-profit organization that improves the quality of life in Orange County and partners with the business community to achieve its mission.

Chamber Board Chairman Charlie Milich said "The Town of Wallkill BGC’s commitment and service to the youth of our community is legendary. This is our way of saying ‘thank you’ for the remarkable impact you’ve had on our young people."

The Award was presented at the Chamber’s Annual Meeting and Awards Reception on October 24th, 2013 at Anthony’s Pier 9 in New Windsor, NY.

"We are humbled by this award and delighted that it not only recognizes the accomplishments of our staff and volunteers, but also the loyal support from the Orange County business community," said BGC Executive Director Alexis Eggleton. "Our partnership is living proof that it truly takes a village to raise incredible Club kids," said Eggleton.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Town of Wallkill serves the communities of Fallsburg, Liberty, Livingston Manor, Mamakating, Middletown, Monticello, Pine Bush, Town of Rockland and the Town of Wallkill. The organization helps enable all young people, especially those who need them most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible adults.
