NEWBURGH - The Palisades Parks Conservancy is pleased to announce that, with the help of hundreds of individual, foundation, and corporate donations, we have recently hired the Manhattan based architectural firm of Easton Architects, LLP, led by Rye resident Lisa Easton, to prepare construction documents and estimates for the restoration of the Tower of Victory to its original appearance.
Easton Architects is a woman-owned architectural firm specializing in historic preservation, adaptive use and new design in historic contexts. Each partner brings a unique background that reinforces the firm’s reputation as a highly creative, solution-oriented design firm specializing in the new and the old.
In the year since we began the campaign to Save the Tower, the Conservancy has raised enough funds that we can say we have made it to the halfway point in our quest. But, there is still a long way to go and we need your help. We hope you will join us to restore this classic American monument in the heart of Newburgh. Working together, we can ensure that the only monument in the United States commemorating the peace following the Revolutionary War stands for posterity.
