NEWBURGH – on March 27th, Danielle Crinieri, founder of Families 4 Families, along with volunteers, assembled and delivered over 140 Easter baskets for families in Newburgh.
"This is a team effort, and I couldn’t have done it without the generous donations of so many families, like the Maxwell and DiVenuto families," said Crinieri. "I would also like to thank the Maxwell, DiVenuto, Wyant, and LoBiondo families, as well as my own children, for helping us to deliver Easter baskets to Safe Homes of Orange County, St. Patrick’s Soup Kitchen, and St. Mary’s Church."
"We are so thankful for these baskets, people were asking us if we had any Easter baskets," said Kellyann Kostyal-Larrier, Executive Director of Safe Homes of Orange County. A similar sentiment was echoed by volunteers at St. Mary’s Church. "People were asking us if we had the small Easter baskets from last year, and we didn’t. We are so glad to receive these baskets, for the children who get them, it is all they will receive for Easter."
"I liked delivering the baskets, especially to ‘Safe Homes’ because nobody should have to be afraid to be in their own house," said Marc DiVenuto, a student at Bishop Dunn Memorial School. "The people there were really nice and I hope we can go back there and help out again.
