February 8th, 2013 Winter Storm Warning Continues
The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for the Hudson Valley, until 1PM EST Saturday. Heavey snow with accumulations of 8 to 16 inches are predicted with highest amounts across higher elevations.
Temperatures will remain in the mid 20s as visibility will be one quarter mile or less at times.
The strongest winds and heaviest snow will occur overnight which will make for dangerous driving conditions with visibilities near zero in white-out conditions.
A Winter Storm Warning for heavy snow means sever winter weather conditions are expected or occurring. Significant amounts of snow are forecast that will make travel dangerous. Onley travel in an emergency
