Hispanic Heritage Month Art Contest

POUGHKEEPSIE - M&T Bank has launched an art completion for local school children to recognize and celebrate Hudson Valley’s growing Hispanic population.

The ‘Hispanic Heritage Month Art Challenge,’ organized in partnership with Mill Street Loft Arts, encourages children 18 and under to illustrate how Hispanic Culture influences their life, their future, and how they celebrate it. Following the Sept. 8 deadline, winning entries will be displayed at M&T’s Poughkeepsie Jefferson Plaza Branch and Mill Street Loft Arts throughout Hispanic Heritage Month (Sept. 15 – Oct. 15).

Artwork must measure at least 8 ½” by 11” and can be created using any two-dimensional medium including: drawing (pencil, crayon, graphite, etc.) and/or painting (pastel, watercolor, spray paint, oils, etc.). Participants please include your age, name, address, and phone number on the BACK of the artwork, original and unframed.

Submit your drawing no later than Sep. 8, to M&T Bank, Attn: Gisela Gomez, P.O. Box 7000, Fishkill, NY, 12524, or Mill Street Loft Arts, Attn: Maria Pranzo, 45 Pershing Avenue, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601
