Vann returned to Newburgh after an extensive touring performing career, and began serving his community by teaching as a music educator in the public school district for two years. During his years of service, he revised and developed a Chorale Program, which created a positive effect academically and behavioral and help the discovery of musical talents among his students. Unfortunately, scholastic music programs have declined, leaving parents and students with limited options for passion from the heart stimulation.
Vann’s passion for music continues in private music lessons from his vocal studio, Sing from the Heart, where he teaches students of all ages, located in Newburgh.
Vann recently performed at the Newburgh Free Library on Sunday, February 17, 2013 in a concert that celebrated Black History Month.
