GOSHEN – O.C. District Attorney Hoovler recently announced that the O.C. District Attorney’s Office Community Advisory Board has elected Lori Anne Wolkoff and Kellyann Kostyal-Larrier as co-chairwomen of the advisory board for 2014.
The D.A’s Community Advisory Board is a working group of public and private sector community members focused on law enforcement, quality of life, and office efficiency. The board is made up of police, lawyers and community advocates, who have volunteered to evaluate D.A’s Office policies and recommend changes to improve operations. One of the board’s key functions will be to make recommendations concerning the D.A’s community prosecution initiative, a program designed to facilitate communication between local community representatives and the District Attorney’s Office. This initiative will ensure that local concerns are brought to the attention of the District Attorney, who will work with the community to address their specific concerns using whatever prosecutorial and educational means are necessary.
Lori Anne Wolkoff is a Crime Victims Specialist with the New York State Police who provides aid to a wide variety of crime victims.
Kellyann Kostyal-Larrier is the Executive Director of Safe Homes of Orange County, Inc., a non-profit agency dedicated to eliminating domestic violence.
"It is pleasure to have these two dynamic and knowledgeable women leading our Community Advisory Board into the future,"
District Attorney Hoovler said. "Lori Anne and Kellyann are dedicated crime victim advocates whose insight and leadership will be of great benefit to the board.
