POUGHKEEPSIE - The Ulster Savings Charitable Foundation (USCF) recently announced a $8,321 grant to the Children’s Home of Poughkeepsie in support of a Play Therapy room at their Poughkeepsie campus.
The Play Therapy room would be used by the Home’s psychologists and social workers to provide play therapy to children who are unable to express their thoughts and feelings for assessment and therapy purposes. The Play Therapy room would also provide a space for staff training in regards to effective therapy techniques.
“The Play Therapy room will provide an appropriate, private therapy space for Children’s Home staff and the many children they serve each day,” noted MaryRose Warcholak, Executive Director of the USCF.“We’re very pleased to support their efforts to help abused and neglected children throughout the Mid-Hudson Valley.” |
